this is a mothering Sunday card I made for a friendto give to her Mum.
the text is computer generated, I first embossed through my cuttlebug the circle garland to surround the MuM then I embossed with the birds & swirls folder but instead of using a B plate I used a perspex plate I have with a 2" diameter hole cut in the center this allows me to emboss without touching the circle garland area, neat eh! I think you could use an old B plate & just cut a hole in it with a drill & circle saw attachment but i could not swear by this as I have not done that, my bit of perspex is part of a number plat acrylic that DH had lying around & I had a eureka moment ages ago, the bottom is the MS punch & I finished with a hand made bow in brown & cream spot & a complimenting ribon in cream & brown spot on the bottom

I love this card. Great thinking on that embossing technique to keep the middle circle embossed by itself.

This looks pretty with the circle embossing combined with the background embossing.
ReplyDeleteThat´s a wonderful card! And what a great idea to use the backside of the embossed paper - it gives a very elegant touch to your piece of art.
